As anyone will tell you, if you’re driving late at night and are feeling tired—better to pull off to the side of the road and take a nap. Just make sure you're not in a body of water.

Of course, it goes without saying when you do pull off you should make sure that there is, in fact, a side of the road there.

Which is what Jacksonville Jaguars running back Denard Robinson apparently failed to do over the holiday weekend when he was found asleep at the wheel of his car—which happened to be in a pond at the time.

According to police, the crash happened at 4:20am and both Robinson and an adult female passenger were "asleep/passed out" but because the officers felt they were not impaired, Robinson wouldn't be charged with a DUI and no citations would be issued.

I guess you can’t give a ticket for stupid.

Robinson played quarterback at the University of Michigan during the infamous Rich Rodriguez era, where he was pretty much the only offensive weapon his team had. Robinson rushed for 4500 yards and threw for 6500 more during his stint in Ann Arbor.

He switched to running back after being drafted by Jacksonville of the NFL. Robinson is in his fourth year with the Jaguars. He has 914 career rushing yards, 288 career receiving yards, and five touchdowns.
