Former Wyoming Park QB To Have Movie Made About His Life [Video]

Casey Therriault's story has been optioned to become a full length feature film. Therriault served six months in prison for events surrounding a bar fight in 2008 in which Jonathon Krystiniak was killed.

According to an article in the movie industry publication Variety, Lord of the Rings producer Mark Ordesky will helm the project for Sony Pictures. He announced the film project while participating in a panel discussion at Variety's Purpose Summit focusing a films about faith and family.

The film will tell Therriault's story of redemption following a bar fight in which he was sentenced to six months in prison. After getting out, he went to Jackson, Mississippi to play quarterback for the historically black Jackson State University. He currently plays for the New Yorker Lions in the German Football League.

In it he reveals how the events of January 10, 2008 forever altered his life, when he and several friends were involved in an altercation outside a downtown grand Rapids bar which resulted in the death of Krystiniak.
