On Saturday night, NASCAR driver Tony Stewart ran over and killed 20-year-old Kevin Ward, Jr., during a sprint car race at Canandaigua Motorsports Park in Canandaigua, N.Y.

Stewart's and Ward's cars touched, sending Ward into the wall. Ward then got out of his car, walked to the center of the track in an attempt to confront Stewart when he drove by the next time. Stewart then struck Ward, running him over and killing him. Ward was dead on arrival at the hospital.

Authorities are saying that no criminal charges will be filed, but are asking for fans to submit any video they may have of the incident for further investigation.

Regan Smith replaced Stewart for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Cheez-It 355 At The Glen race in Watkins Glen, N.Y., on Sunday.
