‘T-Rex', the story of Flint-native and Olympic Gold Medalist Claressa “T-Rex” Shields will play for free on Saturday, October 3 at ArtPrize Seven.

Seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis at Michigan House at 40 Pearl Street NW.

The film is on the Juror's Shortlist for Time-Based works at ArtPrize Seven, which continues through Oct. 11.

ArtPrize OnScreen: Presented by Waterfront Film Festival screened the documentary twice, once to students and once to a general audience, on the opening Friday of ArtPrize.

The film follows the 17-year-old boxer through her early struggles to her spot with the first ever Women’s Olympic Boxing Team.

“T-Rex” was made by the directorial team of Zackary Canepari and Drea Cooper, and New York City producer Sue Jaye Johnson. Canepari is expected to be in attendance for the screening.
