9-year-old Fletcher Moore from Grand Rapids had a very unique request for his ninth birthday party. He wanted to spend the whole day at the Knapp's Corner Meijer. His parents wanted to grant his birthday wish, so he spent 9 hours at Meijer on Saturday (the day after his actual birthday).

Tons of people stopped by to help Fletcher celebrate his special day including a teacher, some friends, his siblings, and his grandparents. One friend even gave Fletcher the $16 he got from returning his cans and bottles.

Fletcher ate sushi (a few times), had birthday cake, rode Sandy the mechanical horse, and played video games. He even got a behind-the-scenes tour of the store, and a visit and handwritten note from Meijer co-chairman Doug Meijer.

“I would spend the whole day in a cardboard box with one of my children if that was their birthday wish,” Fletcher’s mom told MLive.
