Grand Rapids Couple Wins $100,000 in The Great Home Giveaway [Video]

An average trip to their real-estate agent's office turned into a huge moment last week for Justin and Ashley Kribs.

On a snowy day, the Kribs were awarded $100,000 as part of The Great Home Giveaway. 

The Great Home Giveaway is sponsored by Atlanta-based Commissions, Inc., in partnership with First Option Mortgage and more than 200 real-estate agents nationwide, including the Kribses' Realtor, Lucas Howard of the Lucas Howard Group in Grand Rapids.

Seventeen home buyers were awarded prizes, including 16 $10,000 winners.

With a growing family and a desire for additional space, Justin, a police officer and Ashley, an accountant, sold their home, but were unable to find another that suited them.

After moving in with family, they decided to build a new home. They entered The Great Home Giveaway at the urging of Howard, never dreaming they would win.

"We are so grateful to everyone involved with The Great Home Giveaway," Ashley Kribs said. "When our house is completed in April, we will be able to afford the new appliances, furniture and landscaping we want."

"Justin and Ashley are a great couple and they have a wonderful family that will really benefit from this grand prize," said Mr. Howard.

Commissions  CEO Duane LeGate was on hand to deliver the check to the Kribses.
