A group of firefighters from the GRFD are being called heroes this morning after saving a dog that was caught in a house fire.

Jordan Roberts posted a picture on Facebook Tuesday morning of the firefighters working on the dog in front of a home on Sigsbee Street. Roberts said in the post that she and her two sons watched them work for half an hour to resuscitate the dog after the fire, and that it all ended with "a wagging tail and cheers!

Her original post from Facebook has already been shared over 900 times in just 16 hours as people chime in to thank the firefighters for their help and service.

As for Roberts, she said she woke up this morning and thought, "Gee I hope there weren't any spelling errors in that post! " and her next thought was, "gee, lemme make double check that my facebook profile is set to private." She says she posted the photo to show gratitude for the hard work put in by the men who worked to save the dog.
