In its inaugural season, the fledgling Grand Rapids Football Club is doing its part in developing a devoted following, drawing close to 4000 animated fans (who refer to themselves as the Grand Army) to its second home game at Houseman Field.

In a 0-0 draw with the Milwaukee based Croatian Eagles, the team drew a respectable official attendance of 3843, giving new life to the grand old field on Diamond Avenue in Midtown.

The draw left the first year team in third place in the Great Lakes Premiere Soccer League.
