Grand Rapids Has Really Changed

Check out this photo of Grand Rapids from 1929 - I have to tell you - then if it wasn't for the Mckay Tower or the Amway hotel, I probably wouldn't have had any clue this was Grand Rapids back in the day.   Seeing as this photo is coming close to 100 years old, it's wild to think about how much has changed downtown. Just look at all of the factories!

In fact, the building in which WFGR is located at 50 Monroe was a factory as one one. The Walls are very thick and the building has great soundproofing. They don't build them like this. I would love to step into a time warp just for a day and see Grand Rapids Back in the Day!
