Grand Rapids Public Schools Talks Budget Cuts [Video]
Facing a $13.5 million deficit due to a projected enrollment decline of 400 students, Grand Rapids Public Schools may have to make some tough decisions.
WZZM 13 reports that GRPS Superintendent Teresa Weatherall Neal outlined a revised budget that will include cuts to the school system, but not in the classroom.
The projected decline in enrollment is not the only reason for the cuts. The district is also citing limited new state funding, and increased health and retirement costs.
How Could This Affect You?

The board will hold a hearing tonight at 6:30, and the final action is expected on June 23rd.
