Grand Rapids Restaurant Comings And Goings.

One restaurant opens. One closes. And one gets rave reviews on a national level. Just another week around West Michigan! Sad news out of Walker. The Fire Mountain buffet closed last weekend. Owned by the Ryan's Steakhouse chain, increased competition from Golden Corral and other local buffets had to lead to the Fire Mountain decline.

Today is Matt Hendricks favorite day! Kilwins downtown on Monroe Mall has its grand opening on Friday! The Mayor will be there, and there are 2 for 1 specials. Ice cream and fudge for all!

AND The Winchester in Heritage Hill got a glowing review from USA Today! Larry Olmstead said "The Winchester is one of the best restaurants of any kind I have visited in my travels, and not having known a thing about it before visiting on a last-minute local recommendation, the most surprising. Stop in and you too will be pleasantly surprised."
