Grand Rapids School Bans SMARTIES!

Say it isn't so? One of my favorite Childhood candies has been banned at a Forest Hills School district.

It may not be for the reason you think, though.

Call me a prude, but the idea of smoking crushed up smarties, even when I was a teenager was pretty low on the list. I think I'd rather EAT them!  So what's next, banning SweetTarts?  Bottle Caps? Runts?  Seems to me any candy could be crushed up and smoked potentially... except maybe I don't know... a Chunky Bar! Strange for sure. I always knew smarties were a gateway to something bad... like snickers bars!
