Grandville Girls Softball (the U.S. Central champion) is now 1-1 at the Little League World Series after losing Game 2 of pool play to Southeast, 6 - 0 in 8 innings.

Grandville was able to get runners into scoring position a couple of times late in the game, but was not able to score. Taylor Walton pitched all 8 innings for Southeast, striking out 8 along the way.

Grandville beat Makati City Philippines, the Asia-Pacific representative, in their first game 14 - 5.

The top four teams after the completion of pool play will advance to the quarterfinals to take on the top four from Pool A. The quarterfinals are on Monday.
