Grateful Dead Month Celebrations Begin

The Grateful Dead have kicked off their "30 Days Of Dead" celebrations. As part of a promotional push and a show of appreciation for their fans, the band is giving away a different free downloadable track every day in November.

Many of the songs offered for download this month have never been released by the band. On their official website, they say that the rare gems have been chosen to honor the "tapers who documented the Dead's concerts."

The month's activities will also include daily challenges in which fans can guess the venue and date of a posted track. The first person to guess correctly will receive their choice of any album from the band's Road Trips collection.
