The Grand Rapids Griffins' tradition of playing tough playoff hockey continued this weekend, as they won two games on the road to take a commanding lead in their best of five Central Division Semi Final Series with the Milwaukee Admirals.

The Griffs won 3-1 on Friday, thanks to two goals from Todd Bertuzzi and a suffocating defense that stymied the Admirals in the final two periods.

The Griffs then continued the great defense on Saturday with an exciting 2-1 win, to go up 2-0 in the series. Bertuzzi notched another goal, and Anthony Mantha contributed the other.

The Griffins could clinch Tuesday night at Van Andel Arena. The puck drops at 7pm. It's two dollar beer and hot dog night, and the first 2500 fans will get a playoff towel to wave.
