COME ON DOWN! reports  A spring break trip to Hollywood may have turned profitable for a Grand Valley State University freshman who ended up as a contestant on The Price is Right.

Gina Maniaci and GVSU classmate and best friend Beth Donovan spent spring break in Los Angeles visiting Maniaci's sister.

For fun, they went to a taping of the game show, and to her surprise Maniaci ended up on The Price as Right as a contestant.

The taped11 a.m. Thursday on CBS.

The show doesn't allow Maniaci to say how she fared, but she seems "pleased with the results," said Mary Isca Pirkol in the GVSU public relations office.

“I was not expecting to be chosen to be on the show at all, which made the whole experience that much more exciting,” said Maniaci, who is studying dance and is from Howell.

"I was so excited and nervous that I have a hard time even remembering all the details of what happened," she said.

"So it will be exciting for me to watch the show on television."

This is pretty awesome! Guess we'll see how much she won.. or didn't!
