Jeff Lynne and ELO have picked up right where they left off, with that familiar sound still in tip top form. It's like it's 1979 all over again, but in a good way.

It's not like Jeff Lynne ever truly went away. He penned hits for the likes of George Harrison, Tom Petty, and even the Pussycat Dolls (I'm not making that up).

But while we enjoyed his work with Petty and the Traveling Wilburys, our one desire was that he would get back to making music as ELO, the Electric Light Orchestra, and now our wish has come true.

After the announcement last week that Lynne was about to release music under a deal with Columbia Records, comes this single called 'When I Was A Boy', which sounds like 1979 ELO.

Good on you, Jeff, we're glad you're back!
