Amid the reports of stores that will be opening earlier than ever on Thanksgiving Day, our friends at WZZM-13 are reporting on stores that will be keeping their lights off and their doors locked on Turkey Day so that their employees can enjoy the holiday with their families.

T.J.Maxx and Marshalls announced in a press release that they will remain closed for the holiday, saying "As in past years, T.J.Maxx and Marshalls stores will be closed on Thanksgiving so our Associates can enjoy the holiday with family and friends."

Costco, will also be closed on Thanksgiving. Richard Galanti, executive vice president and CFO of the company told The New York Times, "It's an important holiday in the U.S., and our employees work hard during the holiday season, and we believe they deserve the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving Day with their family and friends."

Home Depot likewise will be closed. The company tweeted to its followers, "Take time to enjoy food, family and friends, and we'll see you early Friday morning!"
