Hoax Alert: Three-Breasted Girl Doesn’t Exist [Video]

The internet went ga-ga over story about a woman who had a third breast surgically implanted on her chest because she was sick of dating.

I hate to be "that guy," but the story is fabricated B.S. It never happened.

If you Google News Search "three breasted woman", you'll find a ton of articles, many on reputable web sites about the woman, Jasmine Tridevil, who had a third breast installed.

Her name was the first thing that tipped me off: Jasmine Tridevil. Do you see it? Tridevil? Tri = three; devil = evil, bad. How conincidental that a woman who now has three breasts, has a variation of three in her name.

Okay, maybe she changed it, but the story still reeked of manipulation, so I searched to see if I could find out who the plastic surgeons were who performed her surgery. I came up with nothing. Nada. And then on the Daily Dot web site, this post popped up.

The writers there decided to apply something called "journalistic skills" to a story full of holes to bust the case wide open. Also unable to locate the surgeon who did the work, the Daily Dot sought the advice of plastic surgeons to see whether that third breast shown in photos on her Facebook page was even possible, Nope, it wasn't.

“In addition to it just plain being bizarre, the potential ethical implications of performing this surgery could possibly get a real plastic surgeon in hot water with one of the two prominent plastic surgery societies, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS),” Dr. Anthony Yuan told the Daily Dot. Such sanctions could lead to a permanent loss of the surgeon’s medical license.

By now, the internet's foremost snoop site, Snopes, had identified the girl in the photos as Alisha Hessler, a Tampa area massage therapist who had a history of pulling off other hoaxes, and who had registered the domain name jasminetridevil.com. (FYI --the web site has now been discontinued) Furthermore, the web site for her massage company, Alisha's Golden Touch, has the slogan "provider of internet hoaxes since 2014."

Shaky at best. I want to believe, but I just can't. This feels like the same way I felt when I went to see the freak show at the Carnival and the woman who turned into a gorilla turned out to be a trick of the light.

One day, I do believe a true three breasted woman will exist. But until the fallout of that nuclear accident, we can only dream.
