Is Cher on her deathbed?

According to the National Enquirer, the legendary diva is much sicker than she let on when she announced she'd be postponing dates on her long-awaited comeback tour, including a stop at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.

A so-called source close to the situation says, "She’s had to wear a heart monitor, and a persistent viral infection has wreaked havoc with her kidneys. The worst fear is that she could lapse into renal failure. Her doctors ordered bed rest, and friends are worried she could have as little as three months to live."

The Enquirer quotes its sources as saying Cher's son, Chaz, is urging his mom to retire for good. Her publicist acknowledges she has a kidney infection, but insists, "She is hoping to restart her tour next year… I’m delighted to report, she’s not going anywhere."

To be fair, it was just Sunday that Closer Weekly was reporting just the opposite, that Cher was fighting hard to get the tour back up and running against her doctor's wishes.

In this video from earlier in the D2K tour, she looked a little fragile and cautious.
