When Fleetwood Mac announced last Thursday that Christine McVie was officially back in the fold, they announced something else that's been hinted at previously - but now is crystal clear:  There is a new tour and a new album coming our "own way." (Sorry, couldn't help it.)

The album will be the band's first full-length effort since 2003′s "Say You Will."

The tour will be the first big run for McVie since she retired from the band 16 years ago - and the band’s first outing since John McVie was diagnosed with cancer.

All the fun kicks off on Sept. 30 in Minneapolis.

Before it's done, Fleetwood Mac will hit 33 cities across North America, coming to Chicago's United Center on Oct. 2 and Auburn Hills' The Palace on Oct. 22.

Sorry, Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena is not currently on the tour list, but the band may extend the tour, so there's hope.

American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Monday at 10 a.m. through April 6 at 10 p.m. General tickets go on sale beginning April 7 through the Live Nation mobile app and at www.livenation.com.

Here's a little something to get you in the mood: The band playing "Go Your Own Way" from their 1997 tour.
