It's hard to believe, but in the forty plus years James Taylor has been putting out great music, he's never once had an album hit number one on the Billboard charts.

That's about to change.

Sounds like a lot of James Taylor fans were excited about his new album. Billboard.com reports Taylor’s latest, “Before This World,” his first album of new material in 13 years, is on track to hit number one next week, which will be his first number one album ever. The record is expected to move the equivalent of 75,000 units.

Taylor first debuted on the Billboard 200 45 years ago, and has had eleven Top Ten albums, seven of which made it to the Top Five. Prior to “Before This World” his highest debut was 1971’s “Mud Slide Slim,” which debuted at number two.

Check out James performing some of his newest songs on The Today Show last week.

And then there's THIS.
