Wednesday morning, police held a press conference to discuss additional charges being filed against abduction suspect Jeffrey Willis.

Willis, who is already facing kidnapping and firearms charges, has now been charged with child pornography charges and the 2014 murder of Rebekah Bletsch.

To begin the conference, police stated that they would not be discussing the Jessica Heeringa case nor any connections between Willis and the case.

Rebekah Bletsch's father spoke at the conference as well, thanking the community for their support. He stated that law enforcement "have not let us down".

Police have not yet determined if Bletsch's murder was premeditated or random.

Officials also commended the 16-year-old kidnapping victim, calling her a hero, and stating that her bravery and actions have led police down this path.

When asked about Willis, the Muskegon County Prosecutor referred to him as a "sick individual."
