School Picture Day was a day of high anxiety for a lot of my classmates because they wanted to look their best for the yearbook.

Not me. 

I didn't have the self esteem or the grooming habits to care all that much about how I appeared at 16 years old. Plus, who cares? It's not like it's a passport photo or anything.

When I noticed that I was wearing a shirt similar to the one I was wearing when I was 16 and had one of my worst school photos taken, I jumped at the chance to see if I could recreate the smirk from 42 years earlier.

Close, but I don't think I quite captured the care free smile.
