According to KREM.com an 89-year-old store owner in Washington state used a golf club to beat a suspected robber who wielded a sword, prompting the suspect to drop the stolen cash register as he made his get away on a bicycle.

Police in the city of Moses Lake, Washington, say owner Miyo Koba was inside Frank's Superette - a business she's owned for more than 60 years - on Sunday morning when a tall, slender male wearing a ski mask and dark glasses swooped in.

“He started pounding on the register trying to open it because I wouldn’t do it for him,” said Koba. “He pulled out his little sword out of his little jacket, and he just kind of waved it a little bit.”  According to police, that "little blade" extended three feet. When he pushed her, she fell and went for the one weapon she had: a golf club.  She says she was able to hit him in the legs enough that he took off, but not before taking off his clothes as he escaped. Police said they recovered the man’s clothing later.  Police were still searching for the man. Go Granny GO!

As Miyo tells the tale of her ordeal, listen to her adorable voice and ask yourself, who continues the robbery after hearing that sweet little lady?
