The annual Chicago to Mackinac boat race has a winner, and also has lost two racers. West Michiganders Doug and Dick DeVos were the first boat to finish the race, but with complicated scoring they might not win.
Two other racers ended up not being so lucky.

2 members of the craft "Wingnut" were found south of Fox Island in northern Lake Michigan unresponsive. Other people on the boat, including a 16 year old Greenville resident, were rescued and taken to safety.
