I celebrated the end of summer by taking Scott Goodman, the winner of the 'Jump With Jojo' contest out for one more sky dive before fall sets in.

Scott was a great guest, and seemed more relaxed than Jojo did, enjoying his jump from 10,000 feet with a smile and a yell.

Once again, Tony and his crew at West Michigan Skydiving were great, as they took us out on a beautiful evening in Holland.

Scott, who's from Hamilton, had extensive tandem jumping experience, so he seemed very relaxed as we climbed up to 10,00 feet above Holland State Park and Lake Macatawa. We could even see the Chicago skyline from that far up, as the view on was picture perfect (that's why we got pictures!!)

When dive time came, I looked a little tense as I worried about my arching technique and with my guide Archie strapped on my back, I jumped first. It was a little more tumbly than I wanted, but it all worked out in time for our chute to deploy, and we floated down from 5,000 feet with an incredible view of all of West Michigan at our feet.

Scott was next, with his guide (also named Scott), he was all smiles and yells as he rolled out of the plane.

Scott and I later traded dive stories while hanging out on West Michigan Skydiving's patio at Park Township Airport in Holland. It turns out he had gone skydiving four or five times before (he couldn't recall the exact number), including dives in Texas and New Mexico.

Thanks again to Archie, Scott, Tony and all the folks at West Michigan Skydiving! It's not too late to book a jump before the weather takes a turn for the worst, call them today at 616-350-8020.
