If you haven't heard already, Kanye West recently released a song called "Only One" featuring Paul McCartney. Now get ready to feel old. According to Twitter, the young music fans, well at least Kanye fans, aren't that familiar with McCartney.

The song is a tribute to Kanye's late mother, and you can give it a listen on his web site. The ballad runs 4:42 — and ends with about a minute of McCartney tickling the ivories solo in “Lady Madonna” mode.

The pairing, came about in a mystical way, and begins with Paul improving on the keyboards, and apparently pulling in spirits from beyond. According to Kanye's press release:

The process of artistic creation is one that does not involve thinking, but often channeling. And he understood in that moment that his late mother, Dr. Donda West, who was also his mentor, confidante, and best friend, had spoken through him that day.

Crossing from one generation to the next is often a difficult process, especially for Kanye's younger fans, who weren't really sure what to think of the ex-Beatle, ex-Wing, and Songwriting Hall of Fame member.

“Who tf is paul mccartney???!??! this is why i love kanye for shining light on unknown artists,” wrote one user.

Another commented, “I don’t know who Paul McCartney is, but Kanye is going to give this man a career w/ this new song!!”

One woman lamented, “I still don’t know who Paul MacArthur is.”
