Kenny Loggins is about to head out on the road for his first extensive round of solo tour dates in almost five years -- and, to mark the occasion, here's a brand-new lyric video for his 1986 hit 'Danger Zone.'

Many stops will see Loggins serving as both headliner and opening act, as he'll be opening select dates alongside his fellow members in the Blue Sky Riders, who released their self-titled debut album in 2013. The tour's dates include performances July 31 in Saginaw and Aug. 1 in Petoskey.

Loggins' most recent solo album, the children's music collection 'All Join In,' was released in 2010. His previous effort, 'How About Now,' came out in 2007. All in all, a long layoff for the self-proclaimed 'King of the Movie Soundtrack,' but management promises "more exciting things to roll out in a few weeks."
