An honor ride will be held in Kalamazoo tonight and dedicated to the nine people injured or killed a week ago. It will be attended by world renowned cyclist Lance Armstrong.

According to WWMT, Armstrong will be joining bicyclists from the Chain Gang for a 6:30 p.m. departure on Tuesday from the Kalamazoo County Health Services parking lot.

They are setting out to finish the ride that the group started last Tuesday night before they were mowed down by a pickup truck driven by Charles Edward Pickett, Jr. of Battle Creek.

Pickett has been charged with five counts of Second Degree Murder, and four counts of Reckless Driving Causing Serious Impairment

The 28.5 mile ride will travel north to Plainwell and back. Members of the public are invited to participate as well.
