Laura Linney Welcomes Her First Baby at Age 49

Actress Laura Linney is a first-time mom at 49. The 'Big C' star and husband Marc Schauer quietly welcomed a baby boy, Bennett Armistead, on Wednesday.

Linney's rep confirmed the baby news to People. Not much else is known at press time.

Bennett Armistead is the first child for Linney and Schauer, who wed in May 2009. Fellow actor Liam Neeson walked Linney down the aisle at the nuptials.
