One of my favorite brew pubs in downtown Grand Rapids, HopCat, has announced plans to open a new location in Ann Arbor.

This comes months after HopCat owners BarFly Ventures announced their first out-of-state HopCat location in Indianapolis back in April.

HopCat- Ann Arbor plans to open January 2015 inside the former Borders building in downtown Ann Arbor with 100 taps dedicated to craft beer.

Now the good people of Ann Arbor can finally experience the joys of HopCat’s “Crack Fries”!

BarFly Ventures owner Mark Sellers says his goal is to expand the HopCat chain to over a dozen different  cities across the Midwest.

The original HopCat over on Ionia opened in Grand Rapids in 2008; and its second location, HopCat- East Lansing opened in 2013.

HopCat- Broad Ripple (Indianapolis) is set to open Aug. 16, and HopCat- Detroit will open in October.
