‘Lonely, Sad Grampa’ Photo Makes The Internet Cry, But Gramps Is Fine
The reach of the internet, as well as its good and bad sides, was on full display this week after a tweet about a stood up grandfather exploded on Twitter.
The tweet by Kelsey Harmon was simple: “dinner with Pawpaw tonight… he made 12 burgers for all 6 grandkids and I am the only one who showed” with a picture of her “PawPaw” looking down at his burger. The reaction was crazy and she is now set to private.
Then there were the death threats to the no show cousins. Yes, the “classy” side of people really came out prompting Kelsey to post “Papaw is ok guys I promise & he loves all grandkids equally, plz stop sending my cousins death threats everything is ok !!!!” Some good did come out of all this, grandson Brock Harmon took to Twitter yesterday to let the world know that he went and enjoyed a burger with his Papaw, in the hopes of making up for letting him down when he failed to show up the first time. “Guys don't worry! I came to Papaw's house and am having a burger!” He later added: "Papaw said he forgives me and wants all of you guys to know that y'all are awesome for making him famous.”
