Lowell Woman Wins World Pipe Smoking Championship
OK, really? There's a "World Pipe Smoking Championship?" All right, if you say so. And Lowell's Sandy Sian won the contest. She's a 39 year old mom of three who didn't even smoke eight months ago. Chalk one up for the tobacco companies!
The contest is basically this-smokers keep 3,3 ounces of tobacco lit for as long as you can. Longest lighter wins. Sandy kept her pipe lit for an hour and 20 minutes. Stuff that in your pipe and smoke it! Ha!
She won two trophies, and was the top woman at the event. Congratulations, Sandy. I think.
