Man Cited For Shooting Off Cannon After Steelers' Win
A North Carolina man was arrested over the weekend for taking his celebration of the Pittsburgh Steelers' trip to the Super Bowl a little too far. Police were called to Bobby Wayne Blanton's Lincolnton home last Sunday after neighbors heard a cannon being fired. Authorities arrived to find a homemade cannon, two one-pound containers of black powder, a fuse, and pellets used to light the cannon. The "Gaston Gazette" is reporting that Blanton was cited for discharging a firearm inside the city limits.
