The popular Grand Rapids restaurant, Marie Cartib's, is closing its doors for good on October 20th.  After almost 13 years in business, Fouad Catrib has announced that he will be shutting the doors to his restaurant and starting a new chapter in his life.

This comes as a surprise to many because the restaurant always seemed to be busy and well liked.  The restaurant served deli style sandwiches, soups, salads, and more.

According to a Facebook post by the owner, there will be new restauranteurs who will be moving into the space at some point in the future.  Also in the post, he encourages you to come in and use your gift cards before it is too late.  You can read the rest of the Facebook post below:
