In the Japanese Garden, there's a sound, a *thunk* that happens every once in a while. What is it? The Sozu Fountain, not only is it beautiful, but also it serves a practical purpose in the gardens.

Have you ever heard a loud 'clunk' while walking through the Japanese Garden? Here's why!

The thing I love about Meijer Gardens, I always seem to learn something. I thought those things were just for looks and the trickle of water is the zen. You know? Like envision the water is your negative emotions pouring in, then they all dump on the floor.

The fact they keep critters out of your garden is really cool. Don't get me wrong its neat seeing having rabbits, squirrels and woodchucks running around, but all the veggies I try to grow are gone thanks to my furry "pals". Honestly, I'm thinking we need a sozu fountain for my back yard.
