Meijer Pays for Purchases of Unsuspecting Customers [Video]

2017 marks the fourth year of Meijer's "Very Merry Meijer" where Meijer surprises customers by paying for all of their purchases. The looks of surprise and thankfulness never get old.

Meijer surprised a customer at each of its 235 stores on Dec. 16 by paying for their entire shopping cart of gifts and groceries. The shopping carts ranged in value from $200 to more than $1,000.

We look forward to watching these videos each year. Whether it's groceries, gifts, or in most cases both; the savings are always appreciated, especially this time of the year.

The cashiers were also given a surprise. They received $100 Meijer gift cards.
