Michael Jackson classic is making a comeback on the charts this week and it has nothing to do with the slap-together posthumous album, “Xscape.”

It’s actually thanks to the viral video of California high school student Brett Nichols tearing it up and Jackson's "Billie Jean" that the song has returned to the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 14.

In the clip, Nichols performs Michael's full dance from the "Motown 25" special in the talent show video.  The clip also helped the song shoot up to No. 2 on the Streaming Songs chart with more than 11 million streams in the U.S. in the past week.

When "Billie Jean" first debuted back in 1983, it stayed at No. 1 on the Hot 100 for seven weeks.

Meantime, "Slave to the Rhythm," a track from Michael's new posthumous album "Xscape," has entered the chart at No. 45 this week. It marks the 50th Hot 100 entry by the late King of Pop's career.

Jackson, a Gary, Ind., native, died in 2009.

Here's the video from the talent show; Chris' dance kicks in at 1 minute, 8 seconds.
