Michigan Fourth and Fifth Graders Can Ski for Free

Want to get your kids out of the house on the weekends this winter and have some fun? Of course, you do! And skiing is something you probably like to do already, and now your kids can join you on the slopes for FREE! Take them skiing and have some fun!

Ski areas and resorts around Michigan want kids to get out and learn to ski, have fun outside during the winter, and stay healthy. So they've created the "Cold is Cool" Ski and Ride Passport.

All fourth and fifth grade kids who apply can ski for free, up to three times, at each of the participating ski areas! Apparently, kids at that age are the perfect age to pick up skiing, and have the coordination and enthusiasm for it.

Not only can they ski for free, but they will get coupons for 20% off helmet purchases, and $10 off purchase of $100 of gear at participating ski shops, so getting them ready for the slopes is cheaper, too!

It's easy to get them signed up, since they can apply for the passport at ski shops, participating McDonald's locations, and even online!
