Travis Trice had 17 points and Denzel Valentine had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead Michigan State past Oklahoma 62-58 on Sunday afternoon in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in Syracuse, N.Y.

Branden Dawson added nine points and 11 rebounds and Bryn Forbes had 14 points for the seventh-seeded Spartans (27-11), who advanced to the Final Four with the triumph at Syracuse University's Carrier Dome.

The fourth-seeded Cardinals (27-9) got 28 points from Wayne Blackshear, who had four three-points and hit 12-of-12 free throws, 16 points from Montrezl Harrell and 13 points from Terry Rozier.

The Spartans next play the winner of top-seeded Duke (32-4) and second-seeded Gonzaga (35-2), who play for the West Region title in Houston today.

Michigan State's Final Four game is Saturday in Indianapolis.

This is the Spartans' ninth appearance in the Final Four and first since 2010, with Michigan State having won NCAA titles in 1979 and 2000 and being runner-up in 2009.

In the other Final Four match-up are top seeds Kentucky (38-0) and Wisconsin (35-3). That is a rematch of an NCAA Final Four semifinal in 2014, which Kentucky won 74-73.
