Do you like to be wined and dined on a first date? Well, apparently the answer to that question is no, because according to a survey by the dating app Clover, Starbucks is the top destination for a first date.

Analyzing data from their 200,000 users, Clover says the Seattle coffee chain is by far the most popular first date location, with Chipotle coming in second and Panera third. While a local restaurant isn’t likely to make it onto a nationwide survey, the quality of the restaurant chains to make the list seem a bit cheesy to us, with Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings and Applebee’s all ranking in the Top Ten.

But apparently, men and women don’t necessarily agree on their ideal first dates. While 52-percent of females chose coffee as their favored first date stop, 51-percent of men prefer a restaurant. One place that is not on top for either sex – bars. Only 18-percent of men and 13 percent of women like to have their first date at a bar.

Really? But how are you going to take the edge off without that glass of wine?

Do you have a go-to location for first dates? How many first dates have you taken there?

What is the most unique first date you’ve ever been on? Did it wind up turning into a relationship?
