New Budweiser Bow Tie Can On Shelves May 6

Everyone is getting into the "shaped container" game. The first and original is Coke. That patented bottle has been making Coke what it is since before 1900. Now Pepsi and 7UP are changing the shape of THEIR containers. Next into the fray--Budweiser.

When it is time to enjoy a cold beverage, Budweiser wants it to be out of its new beer can shaped like a bow tie.It will hold 11.3 ounces of beer, compared to the 12-ounce traditional can. These special cans will be available in 8-packs on May 6th. A lot of work has gone into the new can. Budweiser says it has been in development since 2010.

My Bud drinking friend JC shouldn't be worried. The traditional can will continue to be sold at your favorite retailer. Grab some Buds!
