Just as many of us set out to get healthier in the New Year, the Girls Scouts are out to ruin it for us. As we all know, it is certainly hard to say no to those cute girls in their green uniforms selling cookies each year, and now they have three new treats to tempt us with.

This year’s new offerings include:

Of course it remains to be seen whether these new options will have us breaking our diets this year.  Only a limited supply will be available in certain test markets, and they have a long way to go before they’re as popular as the Girl Scouts’ top seller- Thin Mints.   In fact, that minty chocolaty goodness accounts for 25 percent of all cookie sales. The next most popular cookie is the Samoas, followed by Peanut Butter Tagalaongs, Do-si-dos, and then Shortbread/Trefoils.

Many Girl Scout Troops across the country will begin experimenting with digital sales this year, although Grand Rapids is not of them. A spokesperson for the GR Troop says they will begin digital sales next year.
