Grand Rapids may be saying goodbye to one restaurant, but soon will welcome a new one in its place.

El Barrio Mexican Grill on Michigan Street, which closed on Jan. 31, will be replaced by an Italian restaurant called Palio, Wood TV 8 reports.

Palio is owned by Mainstreet Ventures Inc., the same company that owns The Chop House downtown Grand Rapids. The company says it will invest $400,000 into the space and is looking to fill over 100 positions. Applications will be accepted starting March 19.

An opening date for Palio has not been announced.
