It’s safe to say that the panel of judges on 'America's Got Talent' didn't see this coming.

82-year-old former Navy pilot and aerospace engineer John Hetlinger seemed mild mannered until he cranked into some serious metal from Drowning Pool with his audition.

After impressing Simon Cowell and the panel with his career highlights, the Metal fan rocked out to Drowning Pool’s “Bodies.” Oh my… it’s not every day you hear an old guy sing “let the bodies hit the floor.” Yes, the mouths of the panel hit the floor, but the audience went crazy.

Now Drowning Pool wants Hetlinger on stage with them in Chicago for the Open Air Festival. The band’s guitarist C.J. Pierce is trying to track the grandpa down and will cover travel expenses, beer, and whatever it takes to have the talented veteran onstage.

And here's the original if you want to see how close he was to nailing that s***.
