The Otsego Public School system have cancelled classes Thursday February 22nd after an online threat began circulating.

A school district spokesperson reported that due to the recent school shooting in Florida they decided to cancel as a precaution seeing how the district itself wasn't the target of any specific threat.

Here is the statement for Plainwell High School's Facebook page:

Plainwell Community Schools and Plainwell Public Safety are aware of the social media threat that was sent to many students. Plainwell Public Safety is currently investigating and we feel that the threat is not credible. As a precaution, there will be additional police presence at the school tomorrow. We update as necessary.
