The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will be in the national spotlight beginning Monday, Feb. 6, as the Outdoor Channel showcases the law enforcement work of DNR conservation officers on its television series Wardens.

The show will air on the Outdoor Channel on Mondays at 9:30pm.

Michigan-based Wolf Creek Productions is filming episodes at locations around the state. Approximately 40 conservation officers, as well as many staff members from other DNR divisions, will be featured throughout the season.

Episodes this season will cover of a wide range of events including: bear, deer and waterfowl hunting, Fourth of July weekend partying at Silver Lake State Park, Black Lake sturgeon conservation and more.

"This is a unique opportunity to give the public a closer look at what the men and women of the DNR – our dedicated conservation officers, but also biologists, foresters, park managers – do to conserve, protect and manage Michigan’s natural and cultural resources," said DNR Director Keith Creagh.

Wardens has aired since 2011.
