After a reported tornado and severe storms ripped through West Michigan Saturday, more than 23,000 Consumers Energy customers are without power, WZZM 13 reports.

Downed power lines and trees, flooding, and other damage is being reported across West Michigan.

The highest number of customers without power is in Kent County, with more than 22,000 outages.

Consumers Energy's outage map is currently showing areas of Allegan, Van Buren, Barry, Ionia and Montcalm Counties without power.

In some areas restoration times are reported for later tonight; in other areas restoration times are "awaiting investigation results".
