Patti LaBelle Calls Pie Eating Fan [Video]

A Patti Labelle fan who reviewed her Sweet Potato Pie on video, only to have the clip go viral, just got the ultimate recognition from the singer.

In case you missed it, last week, James Wright videotaped himself eating Patti’s pie (which is sold at Walmart), and he enjoyed it some much he broke into song (check out the video to the right, NOTE CONTENT: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE). Six million people wound up checking out the video, including Patti, who called him to thank him for his review.

“She kept thanking me and she just kept telling me how much she loved me," Wright told Fox 32. "She just kept telling me to be me, and she was like, 'Boy, you can sing!'"
